Ms. Gustin was born in Charleston, West Virginia. She is a graduate of Virginia Intermont College and received her law degree from the University of Tennessee College of Law in 1982. She was admitted to the bar in 1983 and developed a successful solo practice with emphasis on healthcare reimbursement and compliance matters. During her years of solo practice, she was also ‘of counsel’ with the firm and is now a shareholder. She is a member of the Tennessee Bar Association and the Knoxville Bar Association. She is admitted to practice in Tennessee and U.S. District Court, Eastern District of Tennessee (1983); U.S. District Court, Western District of Tennessee (1988); U.S. Court of Appeals, Sixth Circuit (1991); and the U.S. Supreme Court (1998). In 1998, Ms. Gustin presented a case to the United States Supreme Court. She enjoys attending the local artistic performances and spending time with her family.
