Ms. Cotten is a native of Knoxville, Tennessee. She graduated from the University of Tennessee with a Bachelor of Science in Communications in 1982 and received her law degree from the University of Tennessee College of Law in 1986. She was admitted to the Texas bar in 1986 and practiced in Dallas for one year before returning to Knoxville in 1987. She began her Tennessee practice at another Knoxville firm, during which time she also was an adjunct professor at the University of Tennessee College of Law and with the College of St. Francis. Having focused her practice in healthcare regulatory matters, Ms. Cotten moved her practice to London & Amburn, P.C. in 1997 and became a shareholder. Her practice is concentrated in healthcare matters, with a focus on regulatory issues. She is a member of the Tennessee Bar Association, the Knoxville Bar Association, and the American Health Lawyers Association.
